I've been trying all week to come up with an idea for this teapot challenge from Cindy - http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2008/...tuesday-6.html.
There were two problems - I don't do Halloween, so I didn't have any suitable stamps, and I have a resolution not to make cards I won't use, so it had to be a non-Halloween card.
So, I took inspiration from the circle shape of the pot and made a circular card. I painted round the edge with Twinkling H2Os, and also painted the moon. I masked the moon, and then scraped chalk pastels over the rest of the card and rubbed them in, then sprayed with fixative. Hmmm - now I think of it, maybe it's the fixative that made the trees a bit hard to stamp - bad forward planning...
Anyhow, I stamped the tree with ColorBox chalk Dark Brown, and stuck on some gold stars. I stamped off the swallows from French Flair, using Versafine black, and cut them out to replace the bats.

What an awesome card. I knew it had to be the Teapot Challenge too. I love how you got all the coloring and the feel of the card without having it be just for Halloween. Gread job.

Well, I have to say you ended up with a very cool card! Your perseverence paid off today! I like the colors, I like the images you used and I like that you will use this card in the future! It is awesome and even though its not Halloween, I can still very much see the teapot there!
Thanks for joining in the fun....and thanks for providing a link to my challenge!
